Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide composed of gamma-glutamylcysteinylglycine and is the most abundant endogenous antioxidant within eukaryotic cells, maintaining intracellular redox homeostasis. As both a direct radical scavenger and a cofactor for antioxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione S-transferase (GST), GSH plays a fundamental role in neutralizing reactive oxygen species (ROS), detoxification of xenobiotics, and supporting phase II hepatic metabolism. Research applications include investigation of oxidative stress pathways in neurodegenerative, hepatic, and metabolic disease models. At 1500mg, this preparation supports high-concentration in vitro assay work and large-scale cellular oxidative stress studies. Reduced glutathione also participates in the regulation of immune cell proliferation, apoptosis signaling, and protein disulfide bond formation. All research is conducted strictly for in vitro and pre-clinical scientific use only. Not for human consumption.

Stability & Storage

Store lyophilized at -20°C, protected from light and moisture. Stable ≥24 months. Reconstitute in sterile water or phosphate-buffered saline at neutral pH (7.0–7.4) to preserve the reduced form. After reconstitution, store at 4°C and use within 7 days. Glutathione is sensitive to oxidation — minimize exposure to air during handling. Avoid alkaline conditions. Do not freeze reconstituted solution.

RESEARCH USE ONLY

This product is intended strictly for research and laboratory use only. Not for human consumption, medical use, or diagnostic purposes.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All compounds are sold individually and do not include research supplies. Products are provided in lyophilized (powder) form and require proper reconstitution before use in research settings.
